C# Fc-API provides FAST performances on Linux and Windows
Originally developed for the .NET Framework, our Fc-API Advanced Programming Interface is now available for cross-platform .NET 9 (formerly .NET Core). This free and open-source software framework, compatible with Windows, Linux, and macOS, allows you to integrate our Felix Concordia cheminformatics and bioinformatics classes, methods, and functions into any new custom-developed application.
For a Felix Concordia client, we implemented our Fast Substructure Search (FcFastSubstructureSearchFingerPrintEngine class) in their software application on Linux and Windows servers, achieving a throughput of nearly one million 2D molecular substructure comparisons per second per CPU core (E5-2600 Xeon processor). A 40-core motherboard with hyperthreading offers 80 million comparisons per second.
